Sand baths are made on demand, for operating temperatures of 70 to 400°C in the sand. Heaters are located in the heating platen underneath the sand area for temperatures up to 400°C.

The sand area is made of stainless chromium steel sheet. Temperature is directly measured in the sand with probes Pt 100 and Fe. The Control of temperature can be manual and microprocessor based, digital. Outside part is made out of steel decapped sheet that is plasticized.
